De SNC-RS84P is een netwerk video camera die hoge kwaliteit videobeeld levert in 720x576 (D1) formaat bij 25 fps. De SNC-RS84P is geschikt voor Dag/Nacht gebruik buitenshuis en is geintegreerd in een eenvoudig te installeren buitenbehuizing.
De PTZ Dome camera heeft een eindeloos, 360 graden panoramisch bereik en het kantel (tilt) bereik is 210 graden (met e-flip functie) en de maximum verplaatsingsnelheid is 400 graden/seconde. Dankzij het grote tilt bereik kan de camera 15 graden boven de horizon gericht worden. De SNC-RS84P heeft een 18-voudige optische zoom. Dankzij deze kenmerken kan de camera een zeer groot gebied bestrijken en zeer snel van positie veranderen.
De SNC-RS84P bezit state-of-the-art technologien voor het verbeteren van de beeldkwaliteit. De XDNR (Excellent Dynamic Noise Reduction) feature elimineert vrijwel alle blur in lichtarme situaties. De camera heeft tevens een Visibility Enhancing (verbeterde zichtbaarheid) technologie, die ontwikkeld is om de prestatie te verbeteren onder uitdagende lichtomstandigheden, zoals omgevingen waar een hoog contrast aanwezig is. De verbeterde zichtbaarheid maakt surveillance mogelijk in bijzonder donkere en heldere gebieden die tot voorheen moeilijk te monitoren waren, zoals in casinos en snelwegen.
De camera kan videobeelden produceren in H.264, MPEG-4 en Motion-JPEG compressie en ondersteunt dual streaming (H.264 + M-Jpeg of MPEG-4 + M-Jpeg). Er is keuze uit verschillende resoluties inclusief 720 x 576 (D1), 640 x 480, 320 x 240 die in H.264, MPEG-4 of MotionJPEG geproduceerd kunnen worden bij een full frame rate van 25fps.
De camerabehuizing is eenvoudig te monteren aan een (optionele) wand, muur of plafondbeugel dankzij een draai-en-vergrendel systeem. De camera moet gevoed worden met een 24Vac 85Watt voeding. Sony heeft een geschikte outdoor voeding (SNCA-PS244E) in het assortiment.
De SNC-RS84P wordt geleverd inclusief: zonnedak, rotate-and-lock koppeling, waterproof pluggen, schroeven, Installatie handleiding, CD-ROM (Users guide, SNC toolbox) en valbeveiliging kabel.
